Prakash is an Alumnus of IIT Delhi and an industry veteran with nearly 38 years of experience in the technology industry. Over the years he has leveraged technology to conceptualize and build industry leading products in the banking and financial services space with the mission of building world class products for the global markets out of India. The products built were primarily in the banking, lending, and payments space.

Key member of the Strategy team at Nucleus Software which transformed a projects company to a products company. Conceptualised and built the global leader “FinnOne” and matured it over the years.

As Technology Head he was an integral part of the Nokia Money Management team which built the Nokia Money platform, which was India’s first mobile payments platform. He built payments platform which supported the micro payments in both offline and online ecosystem. Payment’s solution built powered transportation, tolling and self-help groups business needs with special emphasis on micro payments.

Early in his career, he architected and built the solution to automate the post trading settlement process for BSE Clearing House – A pioneering effort in the late 80’s. Later on, he architected and built core banking solution for Bank of India, which was deployed in multiple branches across India.

He co-founded Bharosa Technoserve, a start-up with the objective of democratizing investments in mutual funds and other assets.
He co-founded Kochikar Technologies, a start-up, which aims to build platform businesses and provide advisory services especially in the BFSI segment.

His forte has been to build strong organizational units from ground zero and bring in the right talent nurturing them and creating a strong motivated work force. As a thought leader, he has been a speaker at BFSI conferences and webinars.

He has a unique work experience of working with start-ups, MNCs, private and public sector companies, domestic and international work experience. He established the US subsidiary of an Indian listed company.

Divakar is an Alumnus of MIT Manipal and started his career with Nucleus Software where he worked on projects involving application development of Banking Software products and its implementation at client locations. At Nucleus Software, he gained experience of working in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including support at various locations across the globe.

Later he joined Infosys at Mangalore where he worked as a Technology Lead primarily on Java/J2EE and Oracle-based applications on the Mac platforms. Further, he gained rich experience working as an Independent Contractor in Cupertino, California, United States working in software development, enhancement, and support projects on the Mac platform.

After a decade in IT industry, he chose to join his family concern – Swasti Cashew Industries Private Limited as an Executive Director. The company, founded in 1952, trades in Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) and into Warehousing Solutions. At Swasti Cashew, he has brought in technology initiatives to optimize the company’s operations and also spearheaded in doubling the warehouse capacities.

He co-founded Kochikar Technologies, a start-up, which aims to build platform businesses and provide advisory services especially in the BFSI segment.

Divakar is an active volunteer at Rotary Club of Mangalore and Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mangalore among others.
